Fundraising Concert & Auction For Marshall Shooting Victims

The Grand Rivers Tourism Commission is having a Fundraising Concert this Sunday to help with medical expenses for the victims of the tragedy at Marshall County High School. A release says all proceeds from the concert will directly go to those affected by the fatal shooting Tuesday morning.

In addition, Tourism Commission officials say a silent auction will take place at the time of the concert with all proceeds going to the victim’s fund, established at First Kentucky Bank.

They note auction items are needed for this event. If you or your business would like to donate an item for the auction, please deliver the donated item to the Badgett Playhouse or to the Grand Rivers Tourism office prior to Sunday. If you would like for someone to pick-up your donation, please go to info@grandrivers.org, and they will be pick up donated items this Friday.

In addition, a “Go Fund Me” account has been set up to help with medical expenses for the Marshall County High School families where you can make donations.

Donations can also be made at any First Kentucky Bank Branch. Checks need to be made payable to “MCHS Victims Fund”.

Officials with the Grand Rivers Tourism Commission say these additional resources for donating will be available about one week after the concert Sunday.

Tickets for Sunday’s concert at the Badgett Playhouse, located at 1838 J H O’Bryan Avenue in Grand Rivers, are $10.00 and can be purchased on their website. The concert will begin at 2:00pm.
