A Hopkinsville Police Officer, who will retire in May, says he will join the race for Christian County Sheriff. Officer Franklin Pollard announced Tuesday that he will enter the race as an independent candidate.
In his announcement on Facebook, Pollard said he cannot sit back any longer watching things happen, hearing things going on daily in our country and not having a voice big enough to encourage a few changes. He says he wants to put his ten years of experience with the Hopkinsville Police Department, six of which were in the Christian County School District, to work for the people of Christian County.
