Hopkinsville Man Charged With Assaulting His Wife

Police say an argument between a married couple led to the arrest of the husband after he assaulted his wife and held her against her will. Hopkinsville Police report officers responded to a home in the 100 block of Country Club Lane where an investigation determined 24-year old Aaron Hlebovy had pushed his wife into their bedroom and used pressure points to her neck and extremities that he had learned in the Army, causing serious physical pain to the female victim. Police say Hlebovy then imposed himself in front of the closed bedroom door, not allowing his wife to leave the room. The wife reportedly told Hlebovy she was going to call police, at which time he snatched the phone from her hands and broke it, to keep her from calling authorities to report a crime.

Hlebovy was lodged in the Christian County Jail charged with 4th Degree Assault Domestic Violence No Visible Injury, 2nd Degree Unlawful Imprisonment, and Intimidating a Participant in a Legal Process.
