Hopkinsville Man Charged With Burglary And Assault

A Hopkinsville man was charged over the weekend with burglary and domestic assault. 21-year old Gregory Arnold was arrested by Hopkinsville Police shortly before 11:00 Sunday morninag at the intersection of East 18th and Craft streets. Police say Arnold was told by officers he was not to return to a residence or it would be a burglary. However, police report Arnold unlawfully entered the residence, pinned the resident down on the bed and attempted to choke her while asking her why she had called the cops on him and got him kicked out. Arnold then left the home prior to the arrival of officers, but they say he was found a few streets away from the residence.

Arnold was lodged in the Christian County Jail charged with 2nd Degree Burglary, Intimidating a Participant in a Legal Process, and 4th Degree Assault – Domestic Violence No Visible Injury.
