Trigg Rescue Member's Home Destroyed By Saturday Fire

The home of a Trigg County Rescue member was destroyed by fire Saturday. The South Road Volunteer Fire Department responded to the structure fire at 5745 South Road, the home of Steve Skinner and his family. According to a post on social media the home was destroyed and the Skinner family has several needs. Those needs are as follows:

Men's pants 32/32
Men's medium/ large shirt
Men's shoe 7.5
Women's 14/16 pants
Women's medium/ large shirt women's shoe 8
Toddler girl 2T/3T
Dog food

South Road Volunteer Fire Chief Tim King says a passerby saw smoke coming from the home and called dispatch. He indicates Skinner had just returned home from work and also saw the smoke coming from the house. Chief King adds the home was gutted and suffered smoke and water damage. He notes there were no injuries reported.

East Golden Pond and Montgomery Volunteer Fire Departments also responded to the scene to assist.
