Calvert City Restaurant Destroyed By Fire

A Calvert City fast food restaurant was totally destroyed by fire Tuesday morning. The Lake News reports firefighters with the Calvert City Volunteer Fire Department and several other local departments battled the blaze at the McDonald's Restaurant during the mid-morning hours Tuesday.

The report says workmen had been working on a heating unit on the roof of the building just prior to employees discovering the flames coming from the ceiling. Employees and patrons then evacuated the restaurant.

At this time, there are no reports of any injuries.
