Man Charged With DUI, Trafficking Synthetic Marijuana

A traffic stop Tuesday night led to the arrest of a Hopkinsville man for DUI and trafficking synthetic marijuana charges. Hopkinsville Police report an officer observed 37-year old Mickell Davis driving southbound on North Drive swerving on the road and crossing over the double center line several times. At the intersection of North Drive and West 15th Street, the officer says Davis came to an abrupt stop. Upon contact with Davis, the officer reportedly saw several plastic baggies containing marijuana. Police say Davis also had glazed over eyes and was very unsteady on his feet.

Davis was taken into custody and booked into the Christian County Jail charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs, Operating on a Suspended License, and 1st Degree Trafficking in Synthetic Drugs.
