Monday Meth Arrest Charged With Cutting Off Ankle Monitor

One of the individuals arrested in a meth bust at a West 15th Street residence Monday night is facing an additional charge for allegedly cutting off her ankle monitor in May of last year. Hopkinsville Police report 22-year old Megan Thompson, of Marion, was served warrants for Tampering with Prisoner Monitoring Device and Bond Revoked.

Thompson was reported missing in May 2017, according to an article in The Crittenden Press. She was last seen in Marion on May 16 and her last contact with family was May 18. At the time, Marion Police told the newspaper they believed Thompson may have gone to Louisville where she was suppose to meet a man from Trigg County.

The newspaper reported that Thompson was living with her mother and was free on bond pending a felony drug charge in Christian County. As part of her plea agreement, Thompson was wearing a court-ordered ankle monitor, but allegedlly removed it before she disappeared in May.

Thompson was arrested Monday night in Hopkinsville and booked into the Christian County Jail for 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
