Hopkinsville Tree Lighting

Friday, December 8 – Community Christmas Tree Lighting Service – December 8th will begin the celebrations with the annual Community Christmas Tree Lighting. The festivities will begin at 6 P.M. in Downtown Hopkinsville’s Founders Square. A tree lighter has been selected for the honor of flipping the switch to light the tree and kickstart a holiday cheer-filled weekend in Hopkinsville. Journey Church is partnering with Parks and Recreation to provide hot chocolate, and Hal Faulkner from Second Baptist Church will read scripture. Christmas carols will be sung in between readings with a musical finale of “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” before the countdown to the tree lighting.
