An Elkton woman died at the hospital after her vehicle ran off the road and into a creek on Greenville Road in Christian County Thursday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say an SUV driven by 60-year-old Sandra Holder was northbound when it ran off the road and into a creek at Coal Creek Road. The SUV came to a stop on its top in the water.
Holder was severely injured and taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Health with CPR in progress but later died from her injuries. Two other people in the vehicle were taken by private vehicle to the hospital.
Holder’s name was released after her family was notified by the Christian County Coroner’s Office.
