A Princeton man was flown to an Evansville hospital after a shooting on McRidley Street in Cadiz Sunday afternoon.
Cadiz Police Chief Tyler Thomas says 49-year-old Aaron Bard suffered at least four gunshot wounds and was rushed to Trigg County Hospital, where he was then flown to another medical facility. Thomas says Bard went to the home of 46-year-old Lamont Crump after a previous incident at a barbecue and Crump allegedly fired shots, hitting Bard.
A Cadiz Police 0fficer who first arrived at the home was able to apply a tourniquet to Bard’s arm to control his bleeding while waiting for an ambulance.
The shooting was reported to authorities just before 2 pm.
Crump was interviewed by officers and then charged with first-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
