On Saturday, members of the community will have the chance to see 30 Christmas trees set up inside the Bruce Convention Center as part of the annual Festival of Trees, which benefits the Pennyroyal Center.
According to organizer Zoe Edwards, the event, previously held at the War Memorial Building, has outgrown that space to showcase sponsored trees.
Edwards adds that raffle tickets will be sold at this year’s event for your chance to win a tree.
If you are the winner of one of the trees, pickup will occur on Sunday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Bruce. In addition to the raffle, voting will take place, with some awards to be handed out.
Edwards says this year’s event will feature more than just the tree viewing.
She adds that funds raised are handed out to the various departments of the Pennyroyal Center.
While appointment viewing was held Friday, the event will be open to the public Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
