Thomas “Tom” Jones, 71, of Hopkinsville, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024, at Alive Hospice, Nashville, TN of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Lamb Funeral Home with Carlton “Bud” Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Peaceful Meadows Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2024 at the funeral home.
A native of Christian County, KY, he was born April 13, 1953, the son of the late Elgy Jones and the late Rose Ella (Harris) Jones.
Tom was a painter and worked in maintenance at Western State Hospital.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Junior Jones, Bill Jones, Cecil Jones, Jewell “Tootie” Jones, Clarence Jones; his sisters, Joyce Ann Kirkman and Barbara Huddleston; and his granddaughter, Kaitlin Nicole Thorpe.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Cathy Ann Jones, Hopkinsville, KY; his sons, Anthony “Bunk” Jones, Christian County, KY, Freddie (Shelley) Jones, Todd County, KY, Johnny “Sluggo” (Gina) Gibbs, Browning, MT; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
