A memorial service for 92-year-old William G. Moore of Cadiz, will be held at a later date.
King’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include:
Four daughters, Vicki Marie Moore, of Granite City, Illinois, Jill Kathleen Antoniou, of Sower Mound, Texas, Kaye Suzanne Lauer (Kurt), of Woodbridge, Virginia, and Whitney Lee Foster, of Cadiz;
Two sisters, Juanita Ritter and Mavis Grimm, both of Illinois;
Six grandchildren, April, Nick, Jessica, Rebecca, Jennifer and Sarah;
And a number of great grandchildren.
He died Friday, November 22, 2024 at his home.
He was born April 19, 1932, in Percy, Illinois, to the late Vallie and Myrtle Willis Moore.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, LouAnn Moore; two brothers, Tom Moore and Bob Moore; three sisters, Dorothy Knox, Helen Trantham and Mildred “Peggy” Moore.
He was of the Lutheran faith and a US Navy Veteran who served in the Korean War.
He retired as a Boiler Fireman after 30 years of service from the VA Medical Center, Great Lakes Naval Training Center, North Chicago, Illinois.
He enjoyed boating and fishing and his favorite holiday was Thanksgiving because he loved cooking and watching football.
