A man was killed in a fire on Ovil Road in Northern Christian County Thursday afternoon.
Lacy Fire Department Chief Kavin Meacham says the home was fully engulfed in flames when they were called by neighbors.
After extinguishing the fire late Wednesday night and a search of the debris the homeowner 64-year-old Kirk Henderson was located deceased under the rubble.
Meacham says it’s unknown what caused the fire. The home is located at the 13000 block of Ovil Road.
Henderson was pronounced deceased by the Christian County Coroner’s Office.
Lacy firefighters were assisted by Honey Grove, Westside, Crofton, Fairview, and Highland fire departments along with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, The Christian County Coroner’s Office, and Christian County Rescue.
