Catherine McKenzie, age 82, of Hopkinsville, passed away at her home on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
She was born in Hopkinsville on October 21, 1942, to the late Robert E., Sr. & Mayme Redd McKenzie. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Robert E. “Mc” McKenzie, Jr.
Catherine graduated from Trigg County High School, class of 1960. After graduation, she embarked on a notable career of 30 years with the federal government, splitting her time between the Small Business Administration and the Internal Revenue Service.
Catherine was of the Baptist faith. She was an avid collector of antiques and enjoyed playing bridge and caring for her beloved beagles.
She is survived by her son, Steven Brown of Hopkinsville, and her sister-in-law, Beverly McKenzie of Louisville, KY.
There will be no services at this time.
Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz.
