Fletcher Cleaves is a former football player, who was accepted for a football scholarship, until a crash involving a distracted driver paralyzed him from the chest down. Now Cleaves is a college graduate, motivational speaker, and advocate for Choices Matter, a group against distracted driving.
Cleaves, who spoke to Trigg County High School students on Tuesday, says that he went through a year of intense recovery before getting to where he is now.
