Funeral Services for 86 year old Bob Cassity of Mount Washington, KY, formerly of Cadiz, KY, will be Saturday, November 23, at 11:00 AM at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz.
Burial will follow in Cassity Cemetery in Land Between the Lakes.
Visitation will be held Friday from 4 until 6 at the funeral home.

Bobby "Bob" Cassity, age 86, of Mount Washington, KY, formerly of Cadiz, KY, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Sanders Ridge Health in Mount Washington.
A "Between the Rivers" native, he was born on February 1, 1938, in Golden Pond, KY, to the late Albert, Sr. & Wavel Higgins Cassity. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by five brothers, George, Anthony, Albert, Jr., Hayden, and James Cassity; and two sisters, Mildred Cassity and Barbara Cassity Queen.
A graduate of Trigg County High School, class of 1957, Bob furthered his education at Murray State University, where he was a member of the Army ROTC, and earned both his Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Education. His commitment to learning and leadership evolved during these years, as he became a charter member of the ATO Fraternity and a lifelong member of the ATO Golden Circle. After graduating from Murray State, Bob served in the United States Army and continued his service in the Army National Guard.
Following his military service, Bob embarked on a distinguished career with the Trigg County School System, beginning in 1963, teaching business administration, social studies, and history classes at Trigg County High School. He went on to serve at the Board of Education as a general supervisor before taking on the role of principal at Trigg County Elementary. He concluded his career as the assistant superintendent of schools, retiring after 27 years of devoted service to the educational community.
Beyond his professional life, Bob was deeply involved in his community. He served on the Trigg County Hospital Board, was a long-standing member and chairman of the Trigg County Public Housing Board for 50 years, and contributed to the Land Between the Lakes Advisory Council. He was also a devoted member of Cadiz Baptist Church.
Bob enjoyed boating on the familiar waterways of Barkley and Kentucky Lakes and had a keen eye and talent for dealing in antiques, specializing in oil lamps and clocks.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Regena Thomas Cassity, whom he married on December 23, 1960, and who passed on July 31, 2020.
