The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Hopkins, Caldwell and a portion of Lyon and McLean Counties until 12:15.
The National Weather Service says heavy rainfall from storms moving through the area is capable of producing Flash Flooding across the counties. One to three inches of rain has already fallen, with one to two additional inches of rain possible through the morning hours.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Madisonville, Princeton, Dawson Springs, Eddyville, Calhoun, Earlington, Livermore, Nortonville, Mortons Gap, Olney, Farmersville, Cobb, Hanson, Kuttawa, Sacramento, Island, St. Charles, Nebo, Slaughters, and Bremen.
Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas is likely.
