Graveside services for 69-year-old Mary Cardinal Staples, of Cadiz, will be noon Friday at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
Visitation will be from 9 until 11 AM Friday at Goodwin Funeral Home.
Survivors include:
Three sons, John D. Staples (Raysha), of Cadiz, Patrick Staples (Lara), of Cadiz; and Mike Staples (Morgan), of Cunningham, Tennessee;
Daughter, Brandy Smith (Mike), of Leesburg, Georgia;
Mother, Jean Cardinal, of Cadiz;
Brother, Gary Riddle (Vivian), of Cadiz;
11 grandchildren, Mack Braziel, Sarah Braziel, Kristina Braziel, Gavin Braziel, Erik Staples, Hunter Walker, Ethan Staples, Justin Gray, Easton Staples, Tyler Staples, and Emmarae Staples;
And four great-grandchildren: Hunter, Cohen, and Amelia Braziel, and Ivy Staples.

She died at 6:03 PM, Sunday, September 22, 2024, at her home in Linton.
She was born June 22, 1955, in Clarksville, Tennessee, to Jean Rittenberry Cardinal and the late Raymond Cardinal. She graduated from Ft. Campbell High School and was married to David Staples on February 17, 1976.
She retired as an office manager at Hyvee Equipment, in Clarksville. Prior to that, she served as a rental coordinator for Honeycutt Realtors.
She was an active and devoted member of Linton Methodist Church, where she loved her church family and participated wholeheartedly in all activities.
Known affectionately as “Grandma Mary,” she was a proud and doting grandmother to her 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and loved when they were gathered together.
She was an avid fisher and enjoyed caring for her flower garden.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 48 years, David Staples, on April 13, 2024.
