Ninth District Representative Myron Dossett is thanking the community leaders who finalized the deal to bring Buc-ee’s to Oak Grove.

While en route to Frankfort Wednesday for various committee meetings, Rep. Dossett thanked Oak Grove Mayor Jackie Oliver, Christian County Judge Executive Jerry Gilliam, and Hopkinsville Mayor J.R. Knight for all their efforts.

Dossett also thanked his counterparts: Eighth District Representative Walker Thomas, Third District Senator Whitney Westerfield, 16th District Representative Jason Petrie, and 52nd District Representative Ken Upchurch.

He added when it’s all said and done, the ultimate goal is to make sure that employees of the future Buc-ee’s are Kentucky residents.

Dossett said the recent effort to lower the income tax rate to zero will be a big part of that effort.

Dossett added the economic impact that Buc-ee’s will have on Christian County will leave a lasting impression on the region.
