A Clarksville man was charged after a high-speed pursuit on Pennyrile Parkway in Christian County Sunday night.
Kentucky State Police say they attempted to stop a car on Pennyrile Parkway at Interstate 24, and the driver 20-year-old Mark Sanchez fled at speeds of over 100 mph.
The pursuit reportedly came to an end when the car exited onto Eagle Way and ran off the road.
A passenger in the car was taken by Hopkinsville EMS to Jennie Stuart Health for back pain. Sanchez was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment, trafficking drugs, no insurance, speeding, and several other traffic violations.
Kentucky State Police were assisted by Christian County Sheriff’s deputies and Hopkinsville Police.
