The Cadiz-Trigg County Tourist Commission, Planters Bank, and WKDZ are coming together to help find an oinkin’ good name for the new pig statue unveiled last week.
Newly minted Tourism Director Beth Sumner said the 10-foot figure in front of the Persnickety Pig truly represents the county.
Sumner suggested before submitting a name, you should get a good look at the entire pig.
Sumner added over the weekend, the pig statue made statewide news.
Entries for the naming contest are being accepted for two weeks on the contest page of WKDZradio.com. The winner will be announced during the annual Ham Festival kickoff breakfast on Thursday, October 10, at the Trigg County Recreation Complex.
The statue was a partnership with the Trigg County Chamber of Commerce, the Trigg-Cadiz Tourist Commission, Planters Bank, and landowner Bob Arnold.
