Oak Grove Shooting Suspect Could Get New Attorney

An Oak Grove man out on bond and later charged in an April shooting in southern Christian County could have a new attorney by the end of the year as his case makes its way through circuit court.

25-year-old Adrian Murray was charged with first-degree assault after Oak Grove Police investigated a report of shots fired near Gail Street but could not locate a victim.

The victim was later located in Clarksville and flown to a Nashville hospital for treatment of injuries.

Police said the shooting happened while Murray was on an ankle monitor for a 2023 charge of trafficking in fentanyl.

Attorney Cody Hooks said the Department of Public Advocacy was representing Murray but family members are seeking to employ his services for the latest charges.
