Technology Updates Coming For Area Senior Citizen Centers

Technology upgrades to the nine area senior citizen centers served by the Pennyrile Area Development District will help with operations.

Area Agency on Aging & Independent Living Assistant Director Amanda Stokes, who also serves as data administrator, provided an update during the group’s monthly business meeting. Stokes shared that a new system will allow for a smoother daily check-in for center visitors.

The system will be in place soon and feature a process using key tags.

Stokes said the new technology will make it easier for senior center staff members to submit needed data daily.
The new system will also make communicating messages with seniors a quicker process.

Stokes said that the upgrades are HIPPA compliant and will provide a much easier process when it comes to reporting needed information to government officials.
