Man Charged With Assaulting His Wife

A Hopkinsville man was charged with assaulting his wife during an argument on Oak Hurst Drive Saturday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say 35-year-old Billy McAndrews pulled a knife on his wife during an argument stating he wanted to talk to her about a situation involving her and another man.

He reportedly caused scratches and bruising on her arms during the altercation.

Police say McAndrews who was found laying on the floor complaining of a seizure stated she had pushed him, stepped on his knee which he had just had surgery on, and scraped his arm.

He reportedly told police he had the knife but claimed he was going to use it on himself.

McAndrews was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and second-degree assault.
