Janice S. Groves, 81, of Christian County

Funeral services for 81-year-old Janice S. Groves, of Christian County, will be 11 AM August 3 at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton.

Burial will follow in the Joines Chapel Cemetery of Todd County.

Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Friday, and from 10 AM until the funeral hour.

Survivors include:
Her husband, Tommy Groves, of Christian County;
Her sons, Paul Groves and his wife, Pennie, of Elkton, David Groves and his wife, Charlotte, of Greenville, Mark Groves and his wife, Tracey, of Elkton, and Phillip Groves and his wife, Jennifer, of Hopkinsville;
Her sister, Diane Powell, of Kirkmansville;
10 grandchildren: Josh, Katie, Michael, Makayla, Corey, Caleb, Will, Josh, Ellie, and Emma;
And her great grandchildren, Kameron and Hudson.

Rev. Jeremy Wagoner is officiating.

Services will be live streamed at lathamfuneralhome.com.

She died at 7:30 PM Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.

She was born May 29, 1943, in Todd County.

She was a homemaker and a member of Joines Chapel General Baptist Church. She was a member of Kirkmansville Homemakers. She loved canning and quilting and taking care of animals.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Taylor McIntosh, and her parents Lewis and Jennie Taylor Heltsley, her brothers Gerald Taylor and Dennis McIntosh, her sister June Allison, and her grandson Alex Groves.

The family asks that donations be given to Johnston Cemetery, c/o Pam Johnson, 278 Dobbs Rd., Olmstead, Ky 42265.
