Man Charged With Trafficking Drugs And DUI

A Grand Rivers man was charged with trafficking drugs and DUI during a safety checkpoint on Eagle Way in Hopkinsville Friday night.

Kentucky State Police say a motorcycle driven by 45-year-old Jason Millikan stopped just before the checkpoint and when they made contact with Millikan he was found to not have his driver’s license or insurance on the motorcycle.

He also had active warrants and during the stop, the trooper reportedly noticed the motorcycle appeared to have been hotwired and he did not have the key.

Police say Millikan had marijuana on him and after a search with a Hopkinsville Police K9 a bag containing a handgun, marijuana, hallucinogenic mushrooms, rolling papers, a digital scale, syringes, and Items with meth residue on them was found beside the road.

He was arrested and charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of meth, tampering with physical evidence, second-degree trafficking hallucinogens, DUI, trafficking marijuana, failure to register transfer of a motor vehicle, possession of marijuana, and failure to maintain required insurance.
