Juvenile Charged Following Pursuit In Stolen Vehicle

A 16-year-old Hopkinsville juvenile was charged after she and several passengers were found in a stolen vehicle early Tuesday.

Officer Andrew Patino said one of the city’s FLOCK cameras located a stolen vehicle in the area of East First Street. The driver fled on Walnut Street when Patino attempted to stop the vehicle. While on Fort Campbell Boulevard, the vehicle crashed when she turned into the McDonald’s parking lot.

A search of the vehicle turned up a handgun in the center console that was reported stolen in Clarksville. The car was also reported stolen from Tennessee.

The female juvenile was charged with receiving stolen property over $10,000, first-degree fleeing police, receiving a stolen firearm, possession of a handgun by a minor, first-degree wanton endangerment, and having no operator’s license.

The report said the passengers in the vehicle complained of minor injuries and were checked out on the scene by Hopkinsville EMS.
