Hopkinsville Police Again Use Video to Make Theft Arrest

The Hopkinsville Police Department continues to use video surveillance systems to help make arrests in the cases in which they work.

The latest came early Monday and led to the arrest of a Hopkinsville man charged with stealing property from a vehicle at the Huck’s Gas Station on Lafayette Road.

Officer Andrew Patino said he investigated the theft of seven fishing poles from a parked truck at the business early Sunday morning. A check of the store’s surveillance video showed a suspect take the fishing poles, put them in his own truck, and leave the scene.

Officer Patino identified the suspect as 48-year-old Arby Kimble, who was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with theft from a vehicle over $1,000.

According to the Christian County Jail website, Kimble has been arrested six times in the past six years for theft, including a June 7 arrest by Hopkinsville Police.
