Don Brame, 77, of Herndon

Don Brame, 77, of Herndon, died of natural causes tending to his livestock at 11:29 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2024, in Herndon.

A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at the daughter’s residence in Herndon. Hughart, Beard & Giles is assisting with the arrangements.

A native of Christian County, KY he was born July 23, 1946, the son of the late Roy Edward Brame and Grace Marie Johnson Brame. He was a local farmer and a carpenter. Don was a founding member of the Ne’er-Do-Well club that met weekly on McGraw Road, as well as cruise director of the South Christian chapter of Sunset Cruises. Colloquially known as the last outlaw of Flat Lick Lane, Don enjoyed socializing and acting as an ambassador for Flat Lick. He will be missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Donald Roy Brame II; his nephew: Clint Brame; and his great-nephew: Whit Brame.

Survivors include his daughters: Cynthia Brame and her husband, Andy Goldthwaite, and Courtney Brame and her husband, Travis Blake, both of Nashville, TN; his brother: David Brame and his wife, Samantha Hancock, of Herndon, KY; his sister: Cheryl Bradley of Franklin, TN; his grandchildren: Sophia, Aurora, Ivy, and Erin; and his step-children: Iris Huddleston and her husband, Allen, of Hopkinsville, KY, Tasha Lyle Delmont of South Dakota, Amanda Parker Aiken of South Carolina, and Jonathan Tullis and his wife, Desiree Bozell, of Hopkinsville, KY.
