A Cadiz man was charged with assaulting a woman while she was driving on Canton Blue Springs Road Friday afternoon.
Trigg County Sheriff’s Deputy Kenny Vincent says John McAdams grabbed a woman’s arm, covered her eyes, and tried to take the keys out of the ignition while she was driving the car.
He then allegedly assaulted his wife before fleeing the area when law enforcement showed up.
Deputies say two other people were in the vehicle with McAdams and his wife at the time.
He was later arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
