A Hopkinsville man was charged with wanton endangerment after he reportedly threatened to blow up a home on South O’Neal Avenue Sunday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say 39-year-old Paul Sierra threatened to blow up the house with his mother inside by turning on the gas and lighting a piece of paper.

The neighboring houses were evacuated and the gas was shut off to the home before Sierra was arrested and charged with third-degree terroristic threatening, second-degree disorderly conduct, and first-degree wanton endangerment.
