CCPS to Move Bluegrass Learning #2

Nearly a decade after closing Belmont Elementary School, part of the Christian County Public Schools will be back in the building on Belmont Hill in the fall. Thursday night, Director of Student Services, Dr. Kim Stevenson asked the Board of Education to consider leasing a portion of the building.

click to download audioThe School Board voted unanimously to approve the lease with Hilltop Properties. As a subsequent action, the Board voted to terminate the lease with Mike and Vivian Kem for the property on West 2nd Street.

In other business, Christian County Circuit Judge Andrew Self joined the Board to swear in newly appointed District 4 Board Member Erin Westerfield.
