There will be no services for 85-year-old Don Merchant, of Cadiz.
King’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include:
Wife, Gloria J. Merchant, of Cadiz;
Son, Donald J. Merchant;
Daughter, Jennifer Brinkman (Cesar), of Florida;
And a number of nieces and nephews.
He died Thursday, June 6, 2024, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.
He was born June 10, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to Stanley and Olive Shiffer Merchant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister.
He had worked in car financing and later retired as a health aide from Shapiro Developmental Center in Kankakee, Illinois. He was a US Army Veteran and of the Methodist faith.
