The Christian County Conservation District is hosting two informational meetings about the 2024 County Ag Investment cost share program Tuesday and Wednesday.

Both meetings will be held at the Gracey-West Union Baptist Church located at 185 Gracey-Sinking Fork Road. The first meeting takes place Tuesday night at 6:00, with a second meeting planned Wednesday morning at 7:30.

Conservation District Secretary Leslie Hacker says anyone interested in applying for CAIP through the Christian County Conservation District is asked to attend one of the two meetings this week. The Kentucky Office of Ag Policy mandates that that an education session must be completed before payment, with the meetings planned to meet that requirement.

Fourqurean says livestock and row crop producers in Christian County can apply for cost-share funds to make improvements in eleven different areas that range from cattle genetics, farm infrastructure, pasture reseeding, on-farm water, and field tiling.

Applications can be obtained at one of the two meetings or at the Christian County Conservation District office on Eagle Way Bypass in Hopkinsville.
