A Hopkinsville woman was charged with child abuse after an investigation into burns a child had on her hand Sunday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called to South Kentucky Avenue to investigate burns a 13-year-old child had on her hand.
After further investigation, it was reportedly found 34-year-old Ashlee Mann had burned the child’s hand as punishment and made the child lie to medical staff about it being an accident.
Mann was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal abuse.
