A Hopkinsville man was charged with robbery after he assaulted a woman on Pyle Lane Saturday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called to the area after 41-year-old Jermain McKinney held an ex-girlfriend down by the neck and punched her in the head before taking her phone and fleeing the area.
They had reportedly been fighting over who she may be talking with on the phone.
He was later arrested on Whitney Place and charged with second-degree robbery.
