Trigg Parks and Rec Pitch In On Leadership Class Project

One day after the Cadiz-Trigg County Tourist and Convention Commission approved a pledge of $6,000 for the Trigg County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class project

, the Cadiz-Trigg County Joint Parks and Recreation Board also approved a contribution.

The leadership class would like to install a metal “Welcome to Trigg County” sign visible to drivers coming across the Lake Barkley Bridge next to the Sinclair Gas Station in Canton.

The sign would be roughly 14 feet long and set in a stone fixture, with pillars on either side.

Parks and Rec agreed to fund the rest of the money needed for the project, around $2,000, with board member Matt Ladd noting they had given money to past leadership class projects.

Board member Lucas Hale, who sold the Sinclair station last year, said he would provide mowing services around the sign.
