Man Charged With Third DUI After Horse And Buggy Crash

A Bowling Green Man was charged with DUI after colliding with a horse and buggy on South Virginia Street in Hopkinsville Sunday night.

Hopkinsville Police say 41-year-old Deanthony Wilford was northbound on South Virginia Street near the intersection of Morningside Drive when his vehicle collided with a horse and buggy that was in front of him.

Neither Wilford nor the three people on the horse and buggy wanted to be taken to the hospital.

The horse fled down South Virginia Street and was finally stopped by law enforcement in downtown Hopkinsville.

Wilford was arrested and charged with driving without a license, DUI third offense, failure to maintain required insurance, and no operator’s license.
