Gas prices in west central Kentucky are 14 cents higher this week than last, up to $3.08 per gallon from $2.94. That’s according to the AAA East Central Gas Price Report.

In Christian County, it’s between $2.89 and $2.93 in Hopkinsville, it’s between $2.99 and $3.09 in Oak Grove, and it’s $3.09 in Pembroke.
In Lyon County, it’s between $3.07 and $3.29 in Kuttawa and $3.09 in Eddyville.
In Todd County, it’s $2.97 in Elkton and $3.19 in Clifty.
And in Trigg County, it’s between $3.09 and $3.28 in Cadiz.
According to gasprices.AAA.com, Caldwell, Lyon and Trigg are currently among the 25 counties with the highest costs in the Commonwealth.

The national average is $3.35/gallon, nine cents higher last week, and historically, March and April bring ballooned costs as travelers start heading out of town for Spring Break — increasing demand.
This week’s national average is 24 cents more than a month ago, but four cents less than a year ago.
At the close of last Wednesday’s trading session, West Texas Intermediate decreased by 33 cents to settle at $78.54.
