A Hopkinsville man was charged after he allegedly choked his girlfriend during a fight on Poston Avenue Friday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 54-year-old Jonathan Watkins choked and slammed his girlfriend against the wall multiple times and punched her in the mouth.
She was treated by Hopkinsville EMS at the scene for difficulty breathing. Watkins was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and first-degree strangulation.
