Man Charged After Hopkinsville Pursuit

A Tennessee man was charged after he led law enforcement on a short pursuit in Hopkinsville Sunday night.

Hopkinsville Police say they attempted to stop 39-year-old Mark Williamson on Fort Campbell Boulevard after he almost hit a police cruiser and he fled turning onto East 21st Street before coming to a stop.

He reportedly had slurred speech and had trouble speaking to officers. Police say he stated it would have been different if the officers were not in their uniforms.

He was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, third-degree terroristic threatening, and DUI.
