The Trigg County Special Olympians, already with one state championship trophy to boast of, will be headed back to the state basketball tournament next month after winning the region tournament on Saturday.
Trigg County beat Christian County in the first round, handed Bowling Green a 36-16 loss in the semifinals, and beat Murray for the championship.
The Special Olympics State Tournament will be held March 8-11 in Louisville.
You can support Trigg’s basketball team when they play the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday, February 17, at 11:00 at Trigg County Middle School. Concessions will be sold to benefit Trigg County Special Olympics.
