Donnie “Joe” Laster, age 66 of Elkton, passed away at 3:30 A.M., Friday, January 26, 2024, at Baptist Health Deaconess Hospital in Madisonville.
Services will be at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Latham Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Mathis officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, in Todd County.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at Latham Funeral Home. Services will be live-streamed at lathamfuneralhome.com.
Mr. Laster was born November 18, 1957, in Todd County. He had been employed at ARDCO in Elkton and Refine Tile in Elkton. He was also the caretaker at Cedar Grove Cemetery for many years. He loved playing and coaching softball. He is preceded in death by his parents William Elmer Laster and Lonell Lack Laster, his brothers William Roy Laster, Elmer Ford Laster, and Jimmy Nelson Laster, and his sisters Velma Dean Scott and Clara Gayle Laster.
He is survived by his daughters Melissa Ann Baggett of Clarksville, TN and Amanda Jo Huff of Clarksville, TN, his brother Danny Owen Laster of Elkton, KY, his sister Kathy Nell Brewington, of Windsor, Missouri, his grandchildren, Seth Avery Baggett, Drew Kaitlin Baggett, Dylan Louis Gilmore, Jace Andrew Huff and his great-grandchild, Liam Nolan Gilmore.
