Clarksville High School Student To Perform At Carnegie Hall

Katelyn Henry, a senior at Clarksville High School, has been selected for the High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Henry will perform soprano in February with the Honors Concert Choir. She is one of the 350 performers accepted out of 10,000 applicants. Acceptance to the group is a result of talent, dedication, and achievements demonstrated by the applicants.

Henry has studied music for eight years and is a member of Clarksville High School Carnival Choir and Wildcat Marching Band. She is a member of Tri-M Music honor Society and a section leader in both band and choir. After graduation, Henry has a plan to attend the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga to major in Music Therapy.

Henry will perform along side others from all 50 States including Guam, the Virgin Islands, South Korea, New Zealand, and Taiwan for a special performance at the world-famous Carnegie Hall.

Henry is the daughter of Joyce and Jim Brittain of Clarksville and the granddaughter of William and Lavena Turner of Christian County.
