Hopkinsville Code Enforcement Hitting the Streets in January

The City of Hopkinsville is looking at improvements and that could mean fines for some residents.

During Monday’s City Council meeting, Mayor JR Knight thanked everyone who has worked to transition code enforcement from CDS to the Fire Department and said Hopkinsville will be changing.

click to download audioIn other business, CDS Director, Tom Britton presented additional zoning for the Canton Pike area.

click to download audioCity Council voted to have an ordinance to that effect drafted. They also voted to approve the second reading of B-2 zoning for the Food Lion and United Southern Bank parcels of land on Canton Pike as well as the first reading of B-2 zoning on Lafayette Road where Max’s, Town and Country, and Edward Jones are located.
