Susan M. Sykes, age 66, of Oak Grove, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes. The family has chosen cremation with a celebration of life to be held at a later date. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Ms. Sykes was born in Pomona, CA, on November 11, 1957, the daughter of the late Duiane and Geraldine Hormann. Susan was a retired medical assistant and of the Christian faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Sykes.
Survivors include her sons, Michael Sykes (Evonna) of Clarksville, TN, Jason Sykes (Susan) of West Minister, CO; her sisters, Valerie Hormann of California, Cindy Kousticke of California, and Avian Baker (Phil) of Utah; and her seven grandchildren.
