Beshear Launches Task Force to Combat Antisemitism in Kentucky

Governor Andy Beshear announced during his Team Kentucky Update last week the formation of a new task force to conduct a review of the state of antisemitism in the commonwealth amid increased threats across the country and in the state.

Gov. Beshear said that the end of the year is a time for family togetherness as well as celebrations for many religious traditions. However, he noted that unfortunately, this year’s festivities arrive with threats of violence against synagogues in Kentucky.

click to download audioIn response to the escalating threats, Gov. Beshear has established the Kentucky Antisemitism Task Force under the Governor’s Office of Faith-Based Initiatives. He said the initial task force will consist of 18 members.
