Strong Northwest Winds Bring Winter-Like Temperatures Early This Week

Gusty northwest winds will pick up Monday afternoon and evening and bring with it much cooler temperatures before a midweek warm-up.

Weather Edge forecaster David Powell said the winter-like temperatures are coming in following an arctic front.

A high-pressure ridge will move over western Kentucky on Tuesday.

Rain chances begin to pick up for the weekend as we head into the Christmas holiday, according to Powell.

As it stands, Christmas Day will see a high in the mid-50s, with an increasing chance for showers.
